I got a house!
yes you heard it here, i got a house. its big and nice and i love it! i have a lot of thigs picked out and its all so cool! You can see the image here. I am in love!! So i am totally excited.
Anyways, another topic, work. So i was not here on friday and my students decided to act like disrespectful brats. So i took matters into my hands. This kids have to understand that a sub is just an extention on the teacher and what is done when the sub is here, will be graded. First, EVERYONE got a F on two lessons, I made them write a writing assignment 10 times and they had to write an apology letter to the sub. They have work detention in class tomorrow, which means they have to pick up trash from the floor, while all the other students watch.
I gave out 16 refferals today. First time i give out refferals at this school too. I never have a problem with my students because i think i have good classroom management but they think they can do whatever they want when there is a sub. and its not like that. I don't care what they are taught at homme, in my class we respect everyone who comes in and is an adult. I have these kids for more time then their own parents do and i probably know more about them then their parents do, so we need to show these kids that "a persons a person, no matter how small" thank you Horton!
Yes, people i am angry, its frustrating to have created a class where things are going so well for 8 months and then a sub come in and have to call a dean 5-6 times. Se me cae la carra de la verguenza! I mean it. An I told them too. They should all be embarassed for being called "the worse class of the day" "students with no respect" "Hats off to you, these are really tough students" I know the sub intended it to be compliment but it doesn't feel that way. I love my job and i work very hard to gain respect in all that i do, considering i am a young teacher and for these kids to do something like this, well like i told them, its as if they where doing it to me.
Ok, thanks guys, i got it off my chest. Its just...i don't know... but on a better note...I Got A House!!!! No one is raining on my parade!
