What happened to carefree school days?

Middle school is not what it used to be. I am sick and tired of the rudeness and idiotic ways of these middles schoolers! I just had a student break the lock on my door just because i told him to stand in line to sign for his report card. It's not like it matters anyways, the child has an F in the class. He went out of my classroom, took my door and slammed it three times against the way. this made the lock break. This is just the mild htings that happen. for thoses of you who do not know this, i had a student stab another student in my face just because the classmate wrote something on his paper. They are disrespectful to the max. A lot of subs will not take our school. i had a sub lined up for one day and the guy never showed up.

But anywyas , things could be worse. We are doing a production of School House Rocks and i'm in charge of props. It's been really eye opening. The kids can not behave even for something that is fun. God, its all crazy. But on another hand, i am excited about teaching Anne Frank. The kids are having a hard time understanding the concept of the Nazi's and the Jews and all that went on in that time, but they are very into the fact that we are reading someone else's diary.

Well enough of school and work. But thats all i have. i work and pretend i am a babysitter. thats the life of the new teacher. on the other hand, i am truly excited about going way next weekend and going to California in December. I'll be going to California to spend my birthday with Keyla. I am so excited! I have not been to California in such a long time. So it's going to be great.
